You can use the entire SWISSTRAX collection for use in a showroom or store. A clear advantage of Ribtrax/Smoothtrax perforated tiles: you keep your floor visually clean as contaminants pass through the tiles. Very simple cleaning: wipe down occasionally with a simple vacuum cleaner and wipe the surface with a damp mop. SWISSTRAX garage tiles are detachable individually if needed if you want to access the natural floor, there is no need to detach everything, plus a removal hook is supplied with the Ribtrax/Smoothtrax tiles. The type of stove will depend on what you want to use it for.
Yes, of course! plates have a resistance of 25T/m2 or even 32T when rolled. You can also perform maneuvers with your vehicle on SWISSTRAX slabs (steering in place, etc.). Yes, with Ribtrax/Smoothtrax perforated tiles it is very easy: their perforated structure allows you to insert a simple “hook” to remove the tiles. You can also extract other SWISSTRAX tile models, but using a different method. If the floor has gutters or manholes, we recommend using Ribtrax/Smoothtrax tiles. You can also combine different tile models during laying: all SWISSTRAX tiles have the same dimensions. In this way, you can remove tiles locally without having to dismantle the entire floor: because the unbolting tool is supplied with your order! (Ribtrax/Smoothtrax tiles).
Underlayment is not mandatory, but it can be used to reduce walking noise (with solid tile) or to counteract floors that are too smooth to allow tiles to stick to the floor (tile installation). Ribtrax openwork slabs are water-diverting, so it is advantageous to install them directly on the concrete floor without carpet pad. The addition of a Ribtrax tile backing can be recommended in automotive, aviation, motorsports, and on floors that will be very slippery at the substrate to ensure tile adhesion. We offer a rubber type underlayment if you would like one, please contact us…. If you have vehicles with possible oil leaks, we recommend using our absorbent sheets on the original floor before tiling. These sheets absorb leaks and remove odors, as well as protect your original floor from stains. The absorbent sheet holds 1 liter of liquid! These sheets can also be used to reduce walking noise on solid tiles like Diamondtrax.
Yes, in this case it is mandatory to use Ribtrax or Smoothtrax tiles that allow natural drainage of liquids. The ability to disconnect this type of slab individually is very practical for sewer access. You can also use Diamondtrax solid tiles, but you will need to add some Ribtrax openwork tiles to maintain the drainage function of your SWISSTRAX floor.
Yes, we highly recommend the Ribtrax or Smoothtrax openwork slab model to ensure heat circulation and optimize your heating system. We do not recommend using solid tiles in this configuration, as you will trap heat inside the tiles and risk warping the floor tiles.
Although SWISSTRAX boards have the tightest joint system on the market, they are not 100% watertight between each other (one-piece boards), there will be a small space between the boards. If you intentionally spill liquid on the floor, small leaks may pass through the connection system, but not all of the spilled liquid. In any case, immediately remove various liquids spilled on the tiles.
Yes, the entire SWISSTRAX range is resistant to hydrocarbons, hydraulic oils, brake fluid, battery acid. The color is protected by an anti-UV treatment. The colors are done en masse. The best anti-UV treatments are used in manufacturing to ensure you a reliable product for a long time. We choose raw materials mainly in France and produce in France to guarantee stable quality and civil responsibility. To make your floor tiles last long, never let hydrocarbons stagnate on them, always clean them immediately.
The resistance is 25 T/m2, or 250 kg per cm2… For your safety and to maintain the strength of your slabs, we recommend using a small steel plate between the jack and the slabs. (Same with candles). Tile is used in auto racing where the use of air jacks is very common. We recommend a jack with fairly wide wheels, minimum 80mm, but we strongly recommend inserting a steel plate between the plates and the wheels of the jack to distribute the pressure exerted on the ground and for your safety. No, the tiles are laid directly on the floor, no gluing or bonding, the tiles are just bonded together. They are installed in a floating position, just like the curbs. An expansion joint of at least 10 mm thickness against any obstacles (walls, etc.) must be maintained so that the boards can be operated in the event of high heat. This 10mm wide space can be fitted with skirting boards for aesthetics. For areas larger than 300 m2, we will ask you for your project dimensions to calculate your floor extension.
Yes, you can lay all SWISSTRAX tiles together, their dimensions are the same – 40x40x1,8 (cm). So you can make part of the floor an openwork slab and the other part a solid slab. The entire SWISSTRAX range is compatible with each other. Yes, all tiles have undergone an enhanced anti-UV treatment during manufacturing. For stationary outdoor applications, it is recommended to use as many light colors as possible to preserve the original color of the tile as long as possible. (Terrace, balcony, etc.) UV resistance is calculated according to location.
Very easy, simple vacuum and wet mop for first level maintenance. For outdoor use, you can wash directly with a high-pressure cleaner and blower if you want to dry the tiles quickly. If your tiles are heavily soiled, you can use a household or industrial degreaser. (Please contact us as we have developed a special cleaner for SWISSTRAX tiles). Ribtrax/Smoothtrax range: Use a vacuum cleaner from time to time as a preventive measure to remove dust. Diamondtrax/Vinyltrax range: Rinse directly with water and mild degreaser. Industrial use, automatic washing machines can be used. Always clean up any hydrocarbons spilled on stoves immediately, never leave them to stagnate.
